Microsoft Paint is getting a new Copilot button. This new Copilot button will provide users with Generative AI features like Cocreator, Image Creator, Generative erase, and Remove background. Microsoft announced this in its recent blog post for Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26120.3073 for Beta and Dev Channels. This new update will add many new features to Windows 11 Insider Preview Beta and Dev Channels. The Copilot button in Microsoft Paint is one of these new features.
Microsoft Paint Copilot Button Update
Microsoft is rolling out a new update for Paint (version 11.2412.271.0 and higher). This new update will add a new Copilot button to Microsoft Paint. Currently, Microsoft made this update available to Windows Insiders in Dev and Canary Channels. Insiders can install this update in Windows 11 Settings. Open Windows 11 Settings and go to the Windows Update page. Now, see if the update is available. If not, click on the Check for Updates button to pull this recent update to your system. After that, install that update.
What is New in this Paint Update?
A new Copilot menu will be available in Paint where you can access all the intelligent features, which can help you complete image generation and editing image(s) faster. The Copilot button will be available as a drop-down icon, clicking on it will open the drop-down menu containing new AI features, including Cocreator, Image Creator, Generative Erase, and Remove Background. Let’s have a look at what these features can do:
- Cocreator: This AI feature can turn sketches into polished artwork in real-time.
- Image Creator: This feature can help you create stunning images by inputting simple prompts.
- Generative Erase: You can use this feature to remove objects with background fill.
- Remove Background: This AI feature will help you remove background from your images.
Microsoft also stated that the Cocreator feature will only be available on Copilot+ PCs.
